WESTERWALD PLAY ISLANDS
A Playful City worked with children from Grade 5b of the Siegerland Grund Schule and STADTGESCHICHTEN to explore urban design and ideas of play in the city.
Children workshopped concepts of their right to participate in designing their social spaces; they mapped their local square; consulted their community; designed playful activations and engaged with these concepts by building PLAY ISLANDS that encapsulated their ideas around "PLAY in the COMMUNITY WITH & FOR COMMUNITY"!
Thanks to the gang at #STADTGESCHICHTEN for the invite and to all the young people & staff at #SiegerlandGrundSchule for helping us bring their ideas to life :)
